A flag should be designed in a way that enables clear communication. It should be simple, it should be able to be drawn from memory. A flag should only consist of 2-3 basic colours. Although these are rules that should be followed when designing a flag, what happens when the country you are trying to represent in not clear or simple?

My Brexit artefacts

In my case this was Brexit.

The situation with Brexit is of course not simple in anyway, so this is what my flag represents. This flag visualises my two home countries, the United Kingdom and Europe. The images that fill the two lands are symbols that conflict that relationship. I identify as European and as of the 31st of March 2019 I lost that title.
